My husband has done many of these mistakes and they really really hurt, no matter how much I tried to forgive and forget. So that is maybe some of the reason I am leaving. You identified some important ones about respecting the other persons' feelings. Only one thing, is you have to be willing to be honest about past mistakes at some point. They always get found out. It is better if you are the one who tells it, not some gossip from the neighborhood, or just a chance comment that makes her put 2 + 2 together. And if you cheated on somebody before, you better know why and have learned a lesson that you can explain. If you make it the other person's fault, or it "just happened", well you are not ready for responsibility yet, and she will know it and will not trust you. Good post altogether! Very well put!
